Dear CSU Colleagues:

The Colorado Combined Campaign is our one opportunity each year — as employees of the State of Colorado — to make personal charitable contributions via payroll deduction. Last year, Colorado state employees donated more than $1 million to the statewide campaign, supporting more than 600 non-profit charities. CSU faculty and staff were the most generous contributors to the entire statewide effort, donating more than any other state agency or university.

As we celebrate 100 years of CSU shared governance this year, we’re proud to lend our support and encourage your participation in the 2015 Colorado Combined Campaign. CSU takes part in this campaign so that we can offer our faculty and staff the convenience of giving to their favorite charities by payroll deduction. What we give through the campaign comes back to help make our communities stronger and more healthy, benefiting charities that feed the hungry, aid the sick, promote arts and culture, support victims of disaster, and much more.

The 2015 Colorado Combined Campaign at CSU will run through the end of December. You will receive your paper pledge form through your department in the next few days, and all University departments also will have a copy of the CCC Resource Guide, which lists the charities to which you can contribute. If you prefer, you can also make your donation online.

A number of local businesses have contributed great incentive prizes to encourage participation in this year’s drive, and everyone who donates will be entered in the prize drawing. Once again, the grand prize will be a free CSU parking permit for next year, donated by Parking Services!

Your choice of whether to give — and to what organizations — is completely up to you, and that information is kept confidential to the extent possible. But every gift helps, and we hope you’ll remember that even gifts of just a few dollars can make a big difference.

The CCC is a great tool for giving to charities outside of CSU. Though some CSU organizations are part of the CCC, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to give to CSU programs directly through the university, which can also be provided through payroll deduction. You can do so at supporting.colostate.edu/.

CSU faculty and staff have contributed more than $2 million to charity through the Colorado Combined Campaign since our campus started participating in it in the year 2000. And while this seems like a lot, it barely scratches the surface in terms of the needs that are out there. Colorado charities need our help — so let’s show them, once again, that CSU cares. Please join us in lending a hand today by making a pledge to the Colorado Combined Campaign.
